“And on earth peace…“
Luke 2:4-14
I. Christ gives the peace of a clean heart.
a. Christ came as the Lamb of God to take away our sin. (John 1:29)
b. As Lord of life, Jesus offers forgiveness of sin that is full, free, and forever. (I John 1:7)
II. Christ gives the peace of a right relationship with God.
a. We need to enter into a faith relationship with God. (Romans 5:1)
b. We love Him because we know that He first loved us. (I John 4:19)
III. Christ gives the peace of a Spirit-controlled life.
a. The Lamb of God who came to take away sin comes in the Spirit to be Lord of our life.
b. Until we are controlled by the Holy Spirit, we can have no peace.
IV. Christ gives the peace of a proper attitude with others. (John 13:34-35)
V. Christ gives the peace of a worthy purpose of living. (Matthew 5:16)
VI. Christ gives the peace of adequate reserves for all situations. (Philippians 4:13)
